Let’s declare this right from the off: there is no rugby league in Afghanistan. We are not pretending there is. The object of the New World Order project is to create assets that are ready and waiting for countries when they do take up the sport. Afghanistan already have social media and a logo. We want to give them a website. Ten pounds for every sale here will go towards a trust fund to be handed over when the country gets official International Rugby League recognition, so they have a small bank balance too. Why Afghanistan? Google ‘alphabetical list of countries’….
This jersey was designed by the genius-like Matt Haines and we asked for something modest, that reflected the country’s war-torn recent history and economic challenges. Something that looked like it was made of snow leopard skin or with Afghan hound ears on the sleeves might have sold more but it would have no authenticity.
